How it works

From your first question to your flight home — a clear path, with no surprises.

Going abroad for surgery should never feel like a leap of faith. Before you spend a penny or book a flight, a specialist team at the International Healthcare Center reviews your case and tells you honestly whether they can help. You see the plan and the price first. You decide second.

Phase 1 · Free

Find out if this is right for you

Share your case, get a real doctor's opinion, and receive a clear plan and price — all before you commit to anything.

Phase 2 · Your trip, handled

We take it from there

Once you're ready, one team arranges everything — travel, arrival, a private companion, treatment, and your journey home.

Phase 1 — free, no obligation

Before you commit, you get real answers — at no cost.

Most people who contact us are simply asking, "Can you actually help with my problem, and what would it involve?" You'll have that answer — from a qualified specialist — before money or travel ever enters the picture.

  1. 1

    Reach out, your way

Use whatever feels easiest: explore this website, ask our AI assistant, send us an email, or create a private member account and upload your records there.

Your privacy is protected. Anything you share — reports, scans, history — is kept strictly confidential and used only to review your case.

  2. 2

    Tell us what's going on

In your own words: what condition you're dealing with now, and what outcome you're hoping for. The more we understand your situation and your goals, the more useful the medical opinion you'll get back.

  3. 3

    Get a specialist's opinion — free

We bring your case to the relevant specialist team at the International Healthcare Center. You'll hear back on whether they can treat your condition, what the likely approach would be, and what to expect — an honest, no-cost first read before you make any decision.

This first review is completely free.

Phase 2 — when you're ready to go

Decide to proceed, and one team carries the rest.

From here on, you're never doing this alone or in a language you don't speak. Each step below is handled for you and confirmed with you before it happens.

  1. 4

    Optional: a face-to-face online consultation

Still have questions, or want to speak with a doctor directly before deciding? We'll schedule a 30-minute online consultation at a time that suits you — a real doctor, face to face on video, answering your specific concerns.

    30 minutes · USD 300

  2. 5

Confirm your plan and your price

Once the examinations and treatment plan are agreed, you receive a clear estimate of your treatment cost. Barring any genuinely new finding during your work-up, the price you're quoted is the price you pay — no moving numbers, no surprise add-ons.

If something new is discovered, you'll be told first and nothing proceeds without your go-ahead.

  3. 6

    Lock in your itinerary

With the medical side settled, our travel partner CYTS arranges the trip around your treatment dates — flights, hotel, visa support and the schedule for your stay — and confirms the full plan with you before you set off.

  4. 7

Land in Hangzhou — we're already there

You're met on arrival and looked after for the whole trip: a private car and driver at your disposal, and a dedicated companion who stays with you — to interpret, to guide you through the hospital, and to make sure nothing gets lost in translation.

  5. 8

    Your treatment at the IHC

Your procedure takes place at the International Healthcare Center, with your companion alongside you throughout. You're cared for by the same specialists who reviewed your case from the start.

  6. 9

Recover, then home — looked after to the gate

After treatment we make sure you're recovering well, handle your discharge and records, and see you off for your flight home — with clear follow-up guidance you can take to your own doctor.

This is the journey at a glance. The details — visas, what to bring, payment, interpreters, companions, recovery time and more — are covered in our FAQ. Anything not answered there, just ask us directly.

About your journey — from the moment you confirm travel

A medical trip that still feels like a trip.

Once your dates are set, everything around your treatment is organised for you — so you can focus on getting well and, when you're up to it, actually enjoy being in one of China's most beautiful cities.

Step 1

We set your itinerary with you

You're in control of how you travel. Book your own flights and hotel if you prefer, or let us arrange everything through CYTS — either way, we build the schedule around your treatment dates and recovery.

Step 2

You receive a complete travel pack

One clear document with everything you need before you fly:

  • Documents to prepare (passport, visa, invitation & appointment letters)
  • A packing list of what to bring
  • Your day-by-day schedule
  • Intro guides to the hospital and to Hangzhou
  • Recommended apps (maps, translation, ride-hailing)
  • How to pay in China (mobile payment & cards) and connectivity (SIM / eSIM)
  • Key contacts and a 24/7 emergency line

Step 3

Met on arrival, set up from day one

Your companion meets you at the airport, helps you get a local SIM and mobile payment working, settles you into your hotel, and walks you through the first day so nothing feels unfamiliar.

Step 4

A companion with you each day

The same dedicated companion accompanies you to every appointment — interpreting, handling check-in and paperwork, and making sure you always understand what's happening and what's next.

Step 5

Bringing someone with you

Travelling with a partner or family member? We can arrange their trip alongside yours and give them things to see and do while you're in appointments, so they're looked after too.

Step 6

If you don't need to stay in hospital — explore Hangzhou

Many treatments don't require an overnight stay. On your free days you can discover this beautiful, historic city — the West Lake, ancient tea villages, temples and gardens — at your own pace, with optional guided outings we can arrange for you.

Recovery, built into the plan

Your schedule leaves proper time to rest and recover before you fly. We check in on how you're doing and adjust the plan if you need a little longer.

Looked after to the gate

When it's time to go home, we handle your discharge and records, help with anything last-minute, and see you off — with clear follow-up guidance to take to your own doctor.

This is the journey in outline — the finer details (timings, documents, payments and more) live in our FAQ, and we're always one message away.

Start with Phase 1 — it's free.

Tell us your condition and what you're hoping for. A specialist team reviews it at no cost and with no obligation, and we'll come back to you with honest next steps.

  • Free first opinion, no obligation
  • Treatment only at one top-6 public hospital
  • Every price an estimate until your plan is sealed

By sending this you agree we may contact you about your enquiry. Your details are never sold. All prices quoted later are estimates until your plan is confirmed.
